With a degree in Dance and Social Work from Ohio University, Julie Rose
headed to New York City to pursue a career in dance. While living in New York,
she performed with David Dorfman, Terry Hollis, Tamieca McCloud and Stephan
Koplowitz as well as choreographed and performed her own work. Her modern dance
background naturally led her to Pilates in 1999, and Julie became certified in
both the mat and apparatus from Power Pilates in 2003. While at Power Pilates,
Julie audited the full training program again to obtain a Senior Teacher Trainer
certification and title in 2005. Julie was Personal Pilates Instructor to Star
Jones from "The View" for over a year and was even a guest on the show.
Ms. Rose is excited to bring Classical Pilates to Troy and to make
The Collar City her new home with her husband, Bryan Kahrs and her puppy, Brooklyn.
